Jo Maynard

Jo has been fencing since she was 10 years old, first with foil, changing to epée when she was 16. At 17, she fenced in her first Junior World Championships. Since then she has competed for Great Britain in World and European Championships, and for England in Home Internationals and the 2002 Fencing Commonwealth Championships in Australia, winning Team Silver Medal. Since leaving Brunel University with a degree in Sport Science, she has been coaching fencing at a number of schools, and formed her own fencing Club, One Two Six, in Clapham in 2002. In 2002 she was the fencing double for Rosamund Pike (Miranda Frost) in the James Bond film, ‘Die Another Day’. Jo graduated in August 2006 with the Internationally recognised ‘Coaching Diploma’. Jo is the former British No. 1 at Womens' Epee ('98 - '00 Junior) & ('06 - '08 Senior)

Marc Bengry

Marc has been fencing since he was 7. His achievements include fencing for Great Britain in World Championships, for England in numerous Home Internationals and has medalled in three Commonwealth Championships - 1994, 2002 & 2006. He won gold in the British Team Championships 5 times and won silver (2002) and bronze (2008) medals in the Individual British Championships. Marc has been coaching professionally since 2004, and has completed the Internationally recognised 'Coaching Diploma' course and is now a Three Weapon Diploma Coach. His calm, quiet approach will reassure the nervous beginner, who will benefit from his many years of experience in the fencing world.
